Review of Southern crispy chickn pancake at The Green Edge by veggi-bella
Menu says “Pancake stack topped with crispy chick'n, bacon, house dressing and a tangy hot sauce, served with a jug of maple syrup” - $23.90.
Maple syrup pancakes with chicken and bacon seems like an odd combo and not one I’ve come across before, think it’s an American thing? Well, I get it now cos this was delicious. I’m normally savoury over sweet all every day, but this is an unexpectedly great mash-up of both.
The pancakes were really fluffy and reminded me of the nostalgia of Maccas hot cakes that I haven’t had since I was a kid.
Overall what a treat. Green Edge never disappoints 👏🏼
