As a vegan, it seems as one continually learns more and more about products and ingredients that we thought were vegan but actually contain animal products or otherwise directly contribute to animal harm. Sometimes, though, we find items we just assumed weren’t vegan that actually are!
I would naturally assume any ranch flavored item from a non-vegan company would contain dairy, but these ranch Corn Nuts do not. And guess what? Neither do the Nacho! 😱
I’m not a Corn Nut enthusiast but they are a snack that I enjoyed from time to time on their own or thrown into a salad for some crunch. These corn nuts are crunchy and tasty. The fried corn kernels themselves bring a stronger flavor to the snack than the ranch seasoning, though. One can detect the ranch flavor but it’s not really all that punchy even with the lactic acid.
These were fun to have again, mostly for nostalgia but I don’t think I’d repurchase this size bag. If I ever see a small one serving bag at a gas station, though, they might just be coming home with me. 😊
