Review of Gluten-free Vegan Worcestershire Sauce - The Wizard's by rosieb33
I'm noticing that more Worcestershire sauces are being made without anchovies, which is great! Even so, it's nice to have a product that specifically calls out that it's vegan. This is a high quality sauce and tastes as it should.
It's a staple ingredient in the phenomenal version of chik'n katsu (Hawaiian bbq style) that @acastillon has absolutely perfected. This is definitely in my top 3 meals of all time! The fried chik'n cutlet is served with the savory yet sweet katsu sauce, and of course rice and macaroni salad to complete the meal. ššš

I got hooked on katsu back in the Bay Area. I did eat meat back then (boooo hissss, I know ā¹ļø), but those L&L plate lunches were the inspiration for this vegan spinoff. And @rosieb33 whipped up an excellent mac salad to complete the meal š
Too bad that the place with the tofu katsu isn't great. I was reading about the traditional sauce served with katsu in Japan and now I want to try that. Apparently it is fruity or something, have you ever had that sauce?Reply
