Soft bao buns, similar to Chinese steamed mantou since this is a Cantonese-influenced Vietnamese dish! Stuffed with fried tofu and chickpea tempeh in homemade peanut sauce, sweet potatoes, shredded coconut, cucumber, and lettuce. Not really anything like traditional Vietnamese bao buns, which are typically filled with minced meat, Chinese lupcheong sausage, and hard boiled egg.
