Sun Dried Tomato Pesto Grilled Cheese at Vegan East — Iszy's Review (Apr 23, 2023)

It was exciting seeing a new sandwich on the Vegan East menu! The new location in South Minneapolis doesn't have sandwiches so I was worried they'd try to phase them out of my home location, but adding new items is promising!

This grilled cheese was so goey and I really appreciated the addition of the sun dried tomatoes. Pesto is always a great addition to tomatoes, and it felt like it was at the right ratio. Just a hint of pesto and not overpowering. It does feel silly spending $11 on a grilled cheese, but Vegan East sandwich prices tend to be a bit higher than they're worth. I know they want to focus on baked goods, so the soups and sandwiches are just good add-ons.
