I really like Squeaky Bean slices. Chorizo and the applewood ham are my favourites.
This chorizo tastes exactly as I remember chorizo slices from my childhood, which actually gave me sort of a trauma, because I stopped eating them after years because I literally tasted blood one time I bought them - and I never came back to it.
It’s been over 10 years since that happened and I’ve found that these slices are just perfect. They are tasty, texture is spot on, no cruelty and no blood involved.
It’s a shame that there aren’t bigger packages available though, because at our house they just disappear.
They could do better in regards of resealing the packages because it’s easy to forget to put it into another airtight container, and the product will dry in the fridge a bit once it’s been opened.
I would recommend them to anyone, even meat eaters. I used to eat meat too, years ago - and I absolutely love this product.
