This dish was purple cabbage with a house made shoyu. They marinated the purple cabbage for like 60 days in their homemade soy sayce and then created this cabbage paste on top to get more cabbage flavour back into it lol. It was so interesting. Soft yet firm. Fun to do the bite on a stick.

My bestie and I went to Avelo together and it was the greatest dining experience I have ever had, ever. They only do 5 tables per time slot. There is the 5-course time and the 8-course time. We chose the 5-course and I couldn't dream if eating the 8-course one. I was #SOFULL. LOL!

The ambiance was out of this world - just look at the photos! Our waiter had only 2 tables and he basically walked us through each bite. He was so attentive. He was the owner. So sooooo kind and cool. They had been reviewed by the Michelin star people, but sadly (and wrongly) did not get a star. But people: this is Michelin-star food! All of this for only $90 after tax and tip! It was insane! My friend and I decided that we will be going once a year at least! #sustainable #fairwages #farmtotable #local
