Review of Heavenly Velvet Vanilla Dessert - Alpro by vanille
Similar texture to their chocolate #dessert, it is thick and silky smooth. Maybe even slightly thicker and a bit more creamy compared to the chocolate one. It is still too fluid to be #pudding in my opinion but also way thicker than a sauce. Kind of yoghurt-like.
It has a nice delicate #vanilla flavour, it is good but not the best. Not super heavy in flavour but you can definitely taste it! The vanilla flavour tastes a bit artificial so if you dislike that I would look for something else. It also has a bit of an aftertaste that the chocolate one does not have.
It is sweet but definitely not ‘heavy’ on the sugar.
The product is #palmoilfree and contains added B12, B2 and D #vitamins, as well as calcium.
💵~37 NOK for a pack with 4 pots. Can be found in a lot of stores.
I don’t love eating it on its own as much as I love the chocolate one, it is amazing for #baking however. Adding a bit of starch makes it firm up a little when baked, making a great #pastry cream filling!
I used it to make skoleboller (school buns) a common Norwegian pastry. ☺️
Would also be great to eat with some fruit, cereal or cookies.
