The first of many delicious dishes ordered by myself and the incredible Jenny Stojkovic aka @veganwomensummit this crunch wrap is a monument to Cafe Gratitude’s sandwich making skills. It’s humongous but so good you’ll eat the whole thing or at least try. It’s like a burrito filled with vegan goodness except it’s more fun than a burrito because it’s also crunchy.

I love coming to Cafe Gratitude whenever I’m back in LA and this last visit reaffirmed how awesome this place. Surprisingly for a vegan restaurant they do serve honey which was strange, but I’ve been told they’re not always 100% vegan.

knorthway I visited a Cafe Gratitude in Kansas City, MO. Do you know if this is just a coincidence or do they have several locations throughout the US? Just curious1 likeReply

littleredmushroom I first started eating at Cafe Gratitude in 2005. There were a few around Berkeley and San Francisco. It was all raw vegan back then! Then they introduced the gratitude bowl which was a simple cooked vegan bowl that was donation based! The place was a mecca of good vibes, healing and fun back in the days I remember! I had a few recipe books from them too and they were the bomb! Super inspiring and pioneers in the raw food scene. They did change a lot over the years, at one point the owners turned into farmers and killing their own cows which was very upsetting their loyal following. However I'm happy to see they are still open and almost vegan ...and didn't start serving their grassfed lalalaa. That wrap like looks divine, I'm looking forward to seeing more. 1 likeReply
vikas I heard about the owner when I was at the dinner. It’s so strange and shocking right? Why would they do that?….1 likeReply
