Vegan Rancheros at Hard Times Cafe — Iszy's Review (Nov 25, 2022)

I haven't been to Hard Times in way too long! It's an amazing place to get some classic vegan diner food for a pretty reasonable price! I also love the punk aesthetic, progressive messaging, and the fact that it's #workerowned.

The Vegan Rancheros has tofu scramble, salsa, cilantro-jalapeño sauce, and ancho-lime black beans (or you can choose refried pinto instead) on top of flavorful corn tortillas. I chose to add the house-made vegan cheese as well. I loved the big tofu chunks. All the sauces work together really well to make it very flavorful throughout. The cheese is also really creamy. It's like and looks chunky, but tastes really nice and it kind of like a queso blanco.
