

After an initial ‘well we can try and make something up’ because of poor interstaff communication, as contact had been made no fewer than 5 times in total confirming a vegan diner since mid October, a menu arrived for me. @Utopia restaurant wowed! The first two courses were loaded with flavour, texture, umami. The next two were carb heavy, being polenta followed by barley risotto, but again, most satisfying and toothsome. While not exciting, the sorbets had excellent flavour and were an perfect foil to the risotto, clearing the palate and most refreshing. I did speak to the chef, to compliment him, and also pointed out that anyone can enjoy a 100% plant based plate, especially of this calibre, and it makes more sense to offer this than a vegetarian option. I will return.
