Review of Falafel Pita at Yababa by veggi-bella

Having seen rave reviews on socials about this Israeli restaurant, I was pretty underwhelmed by the falafel to be honest. They were soft not crispy on the outside, and felt a bit lacking in herbs and seasoning.

The pita overall was pretty yum though, and super filling for $14. Very generously stuffed with falafel, tahini, hummus, salad. The house-made pita itself was amazing - super fresh and fluffy.

The owner here is so lovely too, the restaurant have been struggling. They closed down recently and have now reopened in the shop next door, but have unfortunately introduced meat as they were apparently struggling to get by as a 100% vegan restaurant. They need to market themselves more, hardly anyone seems to know about them!

We’ll come back, the vegan menu is huge and I’d like to try some other dishes.
