Review of Delicata Hash at Root to Rise Kitchen by iszy
This felt like a wholesome, healthy choice at Vegfest. The queso-like sauce was really flavorful and had a little spice to it. I definitely liked the flavor, but it was colder than I was expecting. The dish would have been so amazing if it was served hotter. I know it's hard to cook food to the desired quality in a tent, so I don't hold this against Root to Rise. The big chunks of delicata squash were super tender and I loved their sweetness. There were a few potatoes, but the squash really seemed to dominate.
