Review of Vegan Mazesoba at Menya Kokoro by herbimetal

I had a craving for this haven't had it since pre covid. The restaurant was so hard to find - it's tucked away in a cluster of Japanese restaurants near the rooftop garden. I find the dining experience of this rather special since we get this unique mix of thick noodles with toppings, and then get to mix a small dish of rice with the leftover toppings at the end! Never seen any restaurant do this. The noodles were really springy I would've liked them a tad softer. Nice mix of toppings especially with the vegan mayo, it is a little on the sour side. I got a fright thinking the soup had fish in it, but staff told me that it is indeed a unique kind of mushroom soup! Wow! So don't worry about the soup if you get this. The restaurant smells of fish in case you mind. I think it's worth the food and experience though. Food was not cheap it came to around $16 with service charge.
