Review of Hainanese Chicken Rice at Daily Green 吉祥素 by skootykoots
Taste is good, really really close to the actual chicken rice but i suspect that also comes wth their soy sauce n sesame oil. The rice is really nice n tasty,not sure if i like the texture of the soy skin as 'chicken', was a bit hard.
Was expecting achar as d condiment but its fine, those cut bakchoy is ok too.
Just a bit peeved off by d plastic plate, i was having this dining in so i don't see why they have to serve it on a plastic plate. so next time im eating in here,ill tell them.
Singapore really has a long way to go in reducing our plastic use,gets me so angry sometimes.geeeze.

fulfilling Sometimes use and throw is faster and cheaper than employing a dishwasher to wash the plates. Sometimes, the owner doesn’t have enough start up capital to buy plates. I remembered there was once when I went to Starbucks for a hot drink, and the drink was served in disposable cups. I was puzzled as I didn’t request for take away. But, I just took it since it had been made. The next time when I was there ago, I was more observant to see how they make my drink, and stopped them just in time when they were using disposable cup. I told them I like to hold the ceramic mug, and they told me they run out of clean mugs! You may chat and find out more from the owner. Maybe he has his reasons or not, and who knows, he may be influenced by you and change for the better👍🏻1 likeReply
