Review of Beetroot Wellington at The Eagle Cambridge by lordsnooks

Ordered this as part of the Xmas menu. I mean, the beetroot wellington was nice and pretty inventive, but my god the carrots, broccoli and Brussel sprouts that came with it were absolutely awful. The broccoli was almost raw and the sprouts were just boiled to death- not even a nice little pan fry in there or anything. The carrots were really lazily done and just looked rough. Skin not peeled. No seasoning whatsoever. Not even the weak gravy could resurrect them. The only decent vegetable here was the crispy baked potatoes. Please, Eagle, work on your basic vegetable game.
