Review of Vegetarian Set (Veganised) at Dining In The Dark KL by stevenneoh

🤩 Guys! Beautiful initiative right in the heart of Changkat. Dining in pitch darkness doesn't just heighten your senses and give you a better appreciation of flavour, it also forces you to disconnect from the rest of the world and to enjoy the occasion (and your partner's company 😛)

Each course (appetisers, soups, mains, desserts) is itself a medley of small plates (14 in all) which you try to figure out ahead of the big reveal at the end of the meal 😉 I won't go into detail about the dishes so that I don't spoil your surprise (though they do refresh their menus every three months). My partner ordered the vegetarian set, and it was reassuring to note that there were differences in about half of our dishes; during the reveal the reception staff also explain the veganisation to you.

The wait staff are visually impaired (#socialimpact 🙌), you don't pay any extra for being vegetarian/vegan (#veganisnotscary and also not an open invitation to rip me off), and the portions are incredibly generous (which you don't quite realise until you see the pictures of your actual food at checkout 😌). Hands down, best dining experience in KL; I can't wait for January's menu reset 😊
