Review of Yeast Extract Spread - Vegemite by sunshineinspo

A staple in my pantry, even if I don’t eat it daily. There’s no sitting on the fence for this one 😊 I think either we love it or hate it. Nanny used to swirl this in my rice porridge when I was young so I guess I’ve always loved the depth of umami it lends to anything you mix it in. I like it on oats as well but love it most on buttered toast. Just a smidge goes a long way. Wouldn’t say it’s a health food and I use it maybe once in two weeks(?! after I rotate through my spreads), but when I do come back to it, its comforting savouriness over a warm staple takes me back to my childhood. Super affordable as well, seeing how one jar seems to last half a lifetime for me 😮
