Review of Plant-based Akamaru 1.0 at IPPUDO Shaw Centre by shawneofthedead

I've long been a fan of Ippudo's Akamaru Shinaji, so I was super excited to try this fully plant-based, vegan-friendly option. It's a very good version of Ippudo's classic dish - I'm especially a fan of the beautifully creamy soup, which mimics the thick umaminess of the original soup base without the tonkatsu or the meat. Wonderfully savoury, and comforting too. The plant-based chashu was decent too! Would definitely come back again, and I hope this stays on Ippudo's menu indefinitely! #abillionturns3
