Review of Sisig at Cosmic - A Vegan Restaurant & Cafe by iamavegan-er
Sisig is a chopped pork dish, a Filipino dish traditionally made from parts of pig head (cheeks, snout, and ears) and chicken liver, cooked to crunchy perfection, served with soy sauce, calamansi (Philippines citrus) and chilis if desired. A common bar eats, it can be eaten on its own or with rice. In one of the episodes of Anthony Bourdain’s CNN show, the host proclaimed that it might be the first timers’ gateway to Filipino cuisine. Try Cosmic’s vegan version. It is made with seitan and tofu. Healthier and more ethical. We ordered their all vegan combo meals (this time with vegan isaw/bbq), USD 4 each (good for 1-2 people).
