Can’t help getting slightly annoyed when non-veg Thai places say they can’t do fried rice/ pad thai etc without the fish sauce 🙄 you can totally make it #veganin2020 and just as flavorful with lemongrass, loads of Thai basil and tangy tamarind! This one here pretty much nailed it. Just gotta request for no egg to #veganize 👌🏼

julesbateman So many “chefs” apparently state they can’t make some dishes without animal products, when it’s totally possible... just laugh at them 😂😂 this looks so good and healthy!! 1 likeReply
fellfromclear Well, it's not really their fault. Some simply don't know better and maybe they're not knowledgeable enough 🤔 I'm sure it's also difficult to change if they were taught that way. I'm not a chef but they have thier quirks about food. Maybe someday they'll change their mind 😊👍💚2 likesReply
julesbateman I firmly believe if you’re a chef you’re knowledgable but above all creative... like at Bake Off when they need to make recipes using alternative or creative ingredients ;) so I stay by what I said, I am perplexed when they say they can’t make a recipe without a specific ingredient. I understand if they have to make a roast without roast, but many other ingredients are replaceable. There are many plant-based cooking courses to upgrade their skills, if they want to. It depends on how much they want to learn. 1 likeReply
fellfromclear Yes, well not all chefs are really that knowledgeable and creative. Some become chefs just because it was their parents job and they just inherited the trade. (You never know what's going on in someone's life) And sadly it's not that everyone wants to learn something new. And yes, I agree with you a lot of ingredients are replaceable 💚 and I also admire those who use alternative or creative ingredients, but even if I mostly agree with you I also understand that it's not that simple 🙂1 likeReply
