Puliogre (Tamarind Rice) at MTR SingaporeAnne's Review (Oct 22, 2020)

🧡 Pulliogre is a traditional South Indian rice with tamarind & peanuts, served with chutney
🧡 I researched and found it known as Pulihora, Puliyodarai, Pyliyogare
🧡 On Wikipedia, puli means tangy or sour in South Indian language. So the dish is simply sour taste rice.
🧡 The sourness comes from tamarind (kokum)
🧡 This is popular in South Indian states of Andra Pradesh, Telandana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu.
🧡 This is my first time trying this & I love it so much!
🧡 Will definitely order it again!

Hey. Did you check if this has ghee? I've heard they're really good, though! Things they make fresh can usually be veganised but everything pre made except idli & vada usually has ghee at MTR

With MTR it's always best to check about ghee. A lot of milk and ghee hides very slyly in a lot of seemingly vegan Indian food :(
