Rewe Ja! Pesto Rosso is one of my favorite options for a plant-based pesto as a topping for pasta or bread. I also like the fact that it contains only natural ingredients except for ascorbic and lactic acid which are both harmlessly improving durability.

For those who didn't know: Lactic acid does have an ambiguous name which sounds like it could be animal based (fermentation of cow milk). It can be, but in most cases and in this case it is not. There is also an industrial process based on fermentation of sugar syrup.
