This was 3, yes, three, layers of chocolate cake smothered in thick chocolate hazelnut cream and drizzled with a caramelised hazelnut sauce, with, you guessed it, toasted hazelnuts on top. The hazelnut flavour is here, and it proclaims itself loudly! It says “Indeed, I am a hazelnut chocolate cake!” The chocolate cake part was a bit dry though, but then again, I did have this at night after it had been standing there in the shelf all day, but then-another-gain, it should be not-dry no matter what time of day you have it.
Final comment: must love hazelnuts.
