Review of Avant Gard’n at Wagamama by simplyhan

The Avant Gard’n was created by Gaz Oakley in collaboration with Wagamama.

It comprises BBQ-glazed seitan, coconut & sriracha vegan ‘egg’, grilled shiitake mushrooms, asparagus, brown rice, edamame beans, carrots, spring onion, sweet amai sauce, sesame seeds and fresh lime.

Very healthy (if you’re into that kind of thing!) and quite light eating.

The egg tasted strongly of coconut, (as opposed to any eggy flavour/black salt) so wasn’t entirely pleasant.

Admittedly, it seems quite an expense for something you might knock up during a weeknight at home.

Tasty enough, but nothing impressive.
