Soymilk at Aloha Tofu Factory Incbandita's Review (Jan 4, 2020)

I needed pure soymilk for a cheese recipe I was making (no ingredients other then soybeans and water), so I chose Aloha Tofu Factory because they're near me and they're known for fresh tofu and soymilk. These that I picked up were a day old. Pure soy milk is an acquired taste that I never got used to, but first taste of this was so awful to me (more-so than then the pure soymilk my mom makes), so I didn't risk using this with my cheese recipe, which was to be shared with a friend (I went with my usual prepackaged WestSoy, which I'll post a review on). Days later, I made a separate batch of the same cheese for myself using this, and the outcome was identical (in texture and taste), which I forgot to take a picture of (Gruyere cheese). Today, I did a taste test of this and my usual WestSoy, and this one has a much stronger flavor, which tells me that this is better quality (more soybeans, less water). I made a nacho cheese with this for my burrito pictured here, which came out great. Not my choice of milk to drink by itself, but definitely great for my cheeses. Pure soy milk is great for lot of cheeses because unlike most other plant-based milks, this emulsifies easily. #aloha
