Hiked it to the legendary Divine Realm eatery in Hougang this morning in the mood for satay beehoon - and somehow didn't end up too far off with Indian rojak. For the uninitiated, Indian rojak comprises of your pick of cut-up veg and dough fritters, and then served with spicy peanutty dipping sauce and toppings like cut cucumbers and onions (fyi, Divine Realm being #alliumfree means only cucumbers - and marvellous Japanese cucumber at that! - were served). I couldn't resist this decidedly deviated take on Indian rojak, what with the veg fritters looking like tempura-ed yong tau foo ingredients (I chose broccoli, sweet potato and of course, THE all-time classic potato), and then was in deepfried heaven, I can tell you that. Finished the entire bowl of peanut sauce, which though a tad cornstarchy, wss otherwise spoonlicking good. According to the staff here everything on the menu is vegan, though I did spy people ordering a milk coffee here and there.
