Olsen Bakehouse has recently moved to a beautiful shophouse along Joo Chiat Road! They are known for their all-natural and less sugar bakes. There were two vegan options for their sliced cakes when I visited - Banana Hazelnut and Chocolate Fudge. This banana hazelnut cake was moist, light and delicious. Sweetness level was perfect! The hazelnut spread reminded me of Nutella. Would order again!

These buns were soooo gooey and fluffy, the texture is 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 filled with black sesame that wasn’t too sweet as well. But at about $4.50 a piece (albeit a fairly big piece), am not sure if it’s thattt worth it. I would 100% recommend trying it once but might not buy it again!

$4.50 for one big bomb omg (have to say it is still a little expensive) but this was so good! recommend microwaving it for like 30s. bread was really soft but still had a nice chew, black sesame paste was ‘gao’ enough and not too sweet! love the squishy and chewy mochi too hehehe grateful for this vegan option🥺 #sgbreads

Went to grab one of these for the love of black sesame and also because the sales were supporting a mental health cause (turns out that's only for online orders though). The black sesame paste tasted good, not too sweet, just right. The amount of filling was good enough, though I thought I saw a fuller one in someone else's pictures! The mochi seemed to be tucked into the sides and not very distinct, which is fine for me. The bun was soft but not overly chewy. If I have to have a white flour bun then it might as well be this one. A little expensive for a bun at $4.20 but tastes like good quality. #abillionturns3 #blacksesame #mochi
