The rice noodles were stir-fried to ultimate softness and chewiness, and is bursting with sweetness from sweet soy sauce, savoury-ness from the other seasonings. It's stir fried with a bit of scrambled tofu, which would've been better if it was more thus more protein 😆 it has greens, sprouts and cucumber + tomato on the side to add the fiber. #jaan

Indonesians love fried rice! This Mushroom fried rice has some mock meat in it for protein, and side of fresh and pickled veggies, making it kinda balanced. The fried enoki Mushroom on top makes it look very unique. The fried rice was very Umami - it bursts in all Indonesian flavours, and the enoki mushroom was crispy, but soft on the center ☺️ #jaan

This is a carb-laden meal, with some greens and sprouts in it. Taste wise however, it is great, especially for older generations like my parents. It is salty, it is savoury, and the texture of the noodles and thick rice noodles were chewy and not hard, meaning it was cooked well. It was served with a side of soya crunches which were really flavourful, adding flavour, crunch and a bittt of protein in the meal. Also, the side of cucumber and tomato is a bonus 🥰 #jaan

Who doesn't love crispy spring rolls with veggies inside?? These spring rolls are very crunchy on the outside, and has warm, soft variety of veggies inside, from carrots to green beans. It's great as a side dish to share with family 🥰 #jaan

As an Indonesian, I've witnessed and related to people's love towards Sate Padang. This meal veganized it perfectly. The satay has admirable texture, the sauce so savoury and spicy, making the lontong a.k.a rice cakes go well with it. Even my family finds it resembling the non-vegan version a lot! #jaan

Pecel is an originally vegan dish from Indonesia, unless if the sauce is non-vegan sometimes. But other than that, it's always a rescue and staple for Indonesian vegans. The Pecel from Loving Kitchen is SO GOOD. It has leavy greens and green beans which are boiled or steamed til soft, many pieces of tofu and tempe which are fried lightly til golden brown, fenerous amount of Javanese peanut sauce, topped with some chips. The sauce is both sweet and savoury, very peanutty, and it makes the meal very high in protein. #jaan

This dish resembles Japanese Unagi Bento... Only It's vegan! Rice that comes with vegan Unagi which is really flavourful and amazing in texture, side of sauteed spicy green beans and soy protein, and a spicy-sweet-savoury sauce. It comes with a bowl of tofu soup as a side too! All in all, this is a very filling, well-balanced and delicious dish 🥰 #jaan

The meal is quite carb heavy with very little to no protein, but luckily there are some veggies like carrots, greens, sprouts and white cabbage there, plus the side lettuce and tomato. It tastes good and very Indonesian, however. And is not very pricey. #jaan
