As the #vegandessert course always comes in twos, along with cactus fruit ice cream was this amazingly rich #carob #brownie. It was moist and dense, just like brownies should be, with #chocolatechips and #walnuts to provide a crunchy contrast. They were topped with #veganwhippedcream and edible #mintleaves, perfect compliments for rocking #veganbrownies!! At this all-vegan restaurant, the dessert course always comes in pairs! The first part was this creamy, dreamy #cactusfruit #icecream, it was beyond fabulous. Like having a cool cactus fruit melting in your mouth - without the seeds. And since it comes in varying colors, there was the typical pink and yellow-orange varieties to swirl around your tastebuds. The #chocolatedrizzle was bitter and crunchy, a fitting contrast to the fruity sweetness. A wonderful way to end our feast for that night, as well as the end of the cactus fruit season! These fruit were harvested from the restaurant's own cactus garden surrounding the property, total farm-to-table, km0!! Chef Alexis and his team are so creative when it comes to their #veganlasagna - different every time! This one was protein packed with three different Heura products: burger, mince (picada) and chorizo, as well as legumbreta. The pasta layers were tender and filled with leeks and onions as well as #bechamel sauce, upon which the piece of lasagna was placed. Topped with #vegancheese and #nutritionalyeast for a cheesy finish, was so yum! And since it was the end of the week, we were offered to-go containers with more goodness to enjoy at home!
