This crunchy was a satisfying big sweet-treat portion. It was slightly on the hard side, so I should have warmed it up a bit - it would have been even more delectable. The café had a great selection for vegans with a sweet tooth. Can either sit down to enjoy or take home. Decided to try out the buffet at this lovely vegetarian/vegan organic café. I selected a little bit of everything that was vegan. The lentil curry and rice had a nice spicy heat to it, but not too hot. The roast butternut was slightly cold, which was unfortunate because the taste and texture was lovely. The two salads were both tasty. I'm not a fan of raw broccoli, but the mayonnaise that was mixed with it helped. Shocked to see this place so quiet on a Saturday - the food here is so good. But, I'm guilty too in not visiting often enough myself . My delicious sandwich composed of rye bread 'buttered' with hummus, and topped with roasted vegetables (that included tofu) and sprinkling of seeds. It came with a tasty side salad too which I later mixed in balsamic vinegar and a dash of the Herbamare spicy sea salt seasoning. For the price of R90, I thought it was a decent plate of healthy and delicious tasting food. I was very happy on my solo lunch. I was really treating myself to an unplanned #carrot day (now we know my love for this #vegetable ). Despite for a slice, it was expensive, this #vegan , #glutenfree #carrotcake was one of the best I've had. It was so moist, fresh and the icing was delicious. The best for me was that the #cake overall wasn't too sweet. I could have had another slice, that was how good it was. I didn't know what to expect upon ordering this, it sounded so intriguing - #sourdough topped with #redpepperhummus , #veganhollandaise (which I couldn't find), #carrot 'bacon' and blistered #cherrytomatoes . I wasn't entirely sure what was on top.. I should have asked but I think it was some kind of #mushroom and #aubergine mousse . It all tasted so scrumptious that I finished it all very quickly. Always love the #microherbs touch on dishes. The presentation of the dish was excellent and with the lovely atmosphere of the café and its lights overhead, made the dish sparkle.
