I was super excited to find an extensive plant-based menu at this beach front restaurant. I had some hesitations about authenticity and flavour ordering a Korean inspired taco ....but I couldn't stop myself because it sounded good and I ordered it anyway. Portions were large and filling but the flavour was super super bland, and moreover, my beef in my tacos came out cold... I couldnt even taste the Sriracha in the Sriracha slaw and the beef itself tasted like it had no seasoning at all. The salsa was pretty terrible too, but the chips were good. I would still come back again to try a more classic meal like the crispy chicken sandwich or buffalo chicken wraps, in the hopes that you can't mess up the flavour on something like that. The menu also says there is a dedicated fryer for their vegan dishes and they also have a gluten free menu, so they are very inclusive.

You have to make sure to sub Daiya for the shredded cheese, but otherwise it's all vegan. It's $24, a lot for a salad, but actually super filling, with lots of #beyondchicken , #blackbeans , and #freshveggies . I didn't like the addition of flavourless plain tortilla chips, and I wish it was mixed greens instead of romain. The dressing is creamy and flavourful, but not overpowering. It was enough for two meals for me. #fiestasalad #vegansalad #eatyourgreens

I was surprised to see that one of the restaurants on the beach had an extensive plant-based menu. They offered more than just the typical token veggie burger, French fries and garden salad. So, I had to eat there! For my entrée, I ordered Plant-Based Teriyaki Chicken Bowl. The chicken pieces were a Beyond Meat product. This dish was comprised of Beyond Meat teriyaki chicken strips, coconut rice, mango and broccoli. I loved the presentation; it was so vibrant. Unlike my appetizer, these chicken pieces were not tough; they were cooked properly. This entrée was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted so well, and I particularly loved the freshness and the inclusion of the mango strips, It certainly had a healthy appearance. I would definitely return to this restaurant and I would order this entrée again, although I would like to try some of the other offerings. Service was very good, and I was very impressed that someone had put some serious thought into assembling a very extensive plant-based / vegan menu. And this restaurant is in a small town!! It’s a shame that other restaurants in larger communities don’t put in half the effort to appease vegetarians and vegans.   This dish was $24.

I’m pretty sure the chicken bites were a Beyond Meat product. Regardless, they were covered in a Thai sauce, sesame seeds, sweet soy and green onions, and atop some nacho chips. The presentation was nice, but the chicken bites were tough. I assume it was because of the way they were cooked because I’ve had Beyond Meat chicken (purchased at the grocery store and cooked at home) and it was tough. Hence the average rating for taste, although the bites still tasted very good. I would definitely return to this restaurant and I would still order this appetizer again. Service was very good, and I was very impressed that someone put some serious thought into assembling a very extensive plant-based / vegan menu. And this restaurant is in a small town!! It’s a shame that other restaurants in larger communities don’t put in half the effort to appease vegetarians and vegans.
