This cookie was bomb! I put a pic with my hand because it was huge and I could have eaten it all. It was a little toward the sweet side for my taste but the flavor and texture was really great so I’m giving 5 stars. This was my husband’s sandwich. He thought it was okay. Full disclosure: I’m not a fan of rye bread (the only one in my family that doesn’t like it). This bread is obviously pretty but it was dry. The sandwich was okay but it didn’t have enough dressing or sauerkraut so it lacked a punch. We got several sandwiches to split and try because this restaurant isn’t too far but it’s also not close. This one fell in the middle. It’s a solid mediocre. It has v steak, cheese sauce and grilled peppers and onions on a hoagie roll. Sounds good but the grilled veggies were a little Al dente and the bread was soft but felt like should be a little chewy. I liked this side from Ben & Esther’s Vegan Jewish Deli. I’m not typically a macaroni salad fan because it often tends to be sweet or have something sweet in it. This is from an all vegan Jewish deli. We’ve been wanting to try sandwiches from this place for awhile so we ordered a few things to try. This sandwich was may favorite!! I just reviewed the chocolate babka from this new location of a small chain of vegan Jewish delis and the chocolate one was much better. They have a full menu of bagels, sandwiches, soups all 100% vegan. I normally wouldn’t go for a sweet bread or cake but I asked my husband to swing by this brand new location (about 30 minutes from where we live) because he happened to be working nearby. This was what he grabbed so it could sit in the car for a little bit. Unlike the chocolate flavor, this one was very dry. I appreciate the creative vegan restaurants and delis and I heard everything in there looked and smelled delicious. I just wouldn’t order this one again.

I saw this small chain of vegan Jewish delis on Instagram and it looked so unique and tasty! We don’t live near any of them but their newest location is about 30 minutes away. The same week that location opened, my husband happened to be working in the area so of course I sent him the address to see if he wanted to stop by. I would have preferred to try a sandwich but because he was working, it needed to be something that could travel so he grabbed a couple of babkas. This one was my favorite. It was soft and moist with a deep chocolate-y swirl. Not dry and not overly sweet. I look forward to trying other dishes someday!
