This delicious burger had super succulent vegan ‘chicken’ pieces as well as super fresh garnish on a soft and squishy bun. Served with crispy and satisfying fries (although they were like a mix of fries and potato wedges) and a little slaw on the side 🌵🍔 Really enjoyed this dish and would reorder. #veganisnotscary #veganfortheanimals

The first disappointing dish from Fat Cactus 🤔... Presentation-wise, it looked good but the struggle to navigate around those little bowls was real. They couldn't come out of their pockets easily so we were having to bring out plates to the tray. The cheese sauce was served cold. Odd. The rice was hard. The chicken was On the Green Side tossed in a tasty enough sauce but the chicken bits never caught the flavour. Nah.

Fat Cactus you keep surprising me... Wowzers! This bean burger strips makes me wanna try their bean burger. It's delicious. The caramelized onions were proper and as always, the toppings from these guys finish the dish off beautifully. Hubz & I shared this... Man-man a bean taco and he's first comment after was "I did not miss any meat". We both completely loved every bite even though it had to be with knife & fork because the flour taco is loaded with yumminess 🙌🏾.

Crazy good 😎. As always, fresh ingredients and all of the gorgeous colours 🙌🏾. The carnies at the table finished the Nachos. They couldn't get enough of that cheese sauce. I added Mexican Plant Chicken.

I love how many items on Fat Cactus’ menu can be made vegan, including these quesadillas. I couldn’t really taste the vegan cheese but the mock chicken was great as were the corn, guacamole and salsa. It was a little spicier than anticipated but nothing crazy. I also expected the wrap to be soft but it was slightly crispy which was actually pretty good. I prefer the mock chicken tacos but this made for a nice change. A little pricey at R170 but you can get more affordable fillings like refried beans or grilled vegetables. Friendly and quick service. I love coming here! 🌵 #veganisnotscary

A sweet and colourful cocktail, this Moggyrita is a combination of lime, mango and strawberry 🍸🥭🍓 It was melting very quickly in the heat so it wasn’t all that frozen but still good. Happy Hour price is R52 which is decent. The Happy Hour also lasts from 12-6 pm which is super generous. #veganisnotscary

This is one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had 🤩 What an absolute taste and texture delight! I chose crispy corn tacos and they added a perfect crunch. The mock chicken was delicious (even my omnivore partner was super impressed) and the toppings were all perfectly complementary and bursting with flavour and freshness 🌮 The guac was perfectly seasoned and smooth, the cheese was melty, the salsa was fresh and vibrant and the grilled peppers added a lovely smoky flavour. The sauce tied all the elements together wonderfully. Wow wow wow. I can’t wait to eat this again 😄 The service at Fat Cactus was excellent! So friendly and we got our food really quickly. I’m so excited to go again 🌵 I thought this was very good value. R175 is a lot but I’ll happily pay it again for such a satisfying and satiating meal!

Absolutely loved this. The grilled peppers were delicious. Their plant based chicken is so good. There's a herb-like flavour to it that I thoroughly enjoy. I chose soft tortillas but you could do the hard shell if you wanted.
