This was a surprise gifted to us by the restaurant for our anniversary celebration and it was one of the best and most innovative vegan cake i have ever had. Instead of normal cream in most sponge cake, the outer layer is made up of strawberry flavoured jelly which offered another level of texture to this dessert. The strawberry jam within the sponge layer was also made from scratch as i could taste the natural sweetness and tanginess from the strawberry with bits of seeds inside. The airy and moist spongecake brought the whole dish together beautifully. There is absolutely nothing i can complain about it! :D

This is the best Kueh Dardar i have ever tasted in my life! It consists of juicy coconut shreds simmered in palm sugar wrapped with a smooth, springy, coconut-ty kueh outer layer. So glad and grateful that they offer vegan options for dessert! Will definitely get this if i visit them again :D

Rasa rempah di pepes jamur sangat terasa, dimakan dengan nasi dan jagung manis jadi sangat pas karena bisa saling mengimbangi, jika masih kurang manis bisa pakai saus kacangnya. Sayur bulung juga sangat enak, teksturnya kenyal, dan ada emping sebagai pelengkap :)

Hands down some of the best food I've ever eaten in Bali. Everything about this dish was to savor, and it's going to sound crazy but just the rice itself was divine - the rice is cooked inside a banana leaf with Bali spice (turmeric, candle nut, ginger, onion, garlic, coriander, pepper, bay leaf, orange leaf, lemongrass, and galangal), so that was a real treat. The crispy mushrooms were delicious, the urap coconut salad zigzagged down the plate, and the tempeh and tofu satay was really yummy with the peanut sauce. The whole experience was very special too, the servers ask your dietary restrictions as soon as you're there, and we got the fully vegetarian menu. To start the meal are warm bread sticks and compliments from the chef, a spring roll and a samosa. Makes for a very romantic river side dining experience! And you have to ride Samaya's little trolley down from the resort to the restaurant - really beautiful!
