We visited this vegan restaurant at lunchtime, when they offered their hot pot formula: 4,900 ¥ for 2 people including a dessert. The lunch starts with this big hotpot with fresh cut vegetables to which boiling water is added and cooking begins. After some minutes you can already start making your first cups of soup by also adding some delicious home made miso provided by the restaurant and a yuzu dressing. During the meal they also provided some “thinly sliced mochi” which has a cheese like consistency and melted in the soup and udon. It was the first time for me trying the hotpot and I loved it! The vegetables all tasted super fresh and I also loved the combination with their miso soup. The venue is pretty smalls and can host up to 6 people max, all seated at the counter. We went here for lunch, they offer a fixed menu with hotpot and ice cream as dessert. The "à la carte" menu is only for dinner. The hotpot was fantastic - it had tofu, noodles, mushrooms and mized veggies which were super fresh and tasty. They also offer home made miso paste, yuzu vinegar and chili flakes if you wish to spice up your broth. The yuzu ice cream at the end was also very tasty and the lady running the place was lovely. Absolutely recommended if you're in the area. PS the place is super tiny (5 or 6 seats), so it might be that you have to wait a bit.

5/5. One of my favourite dishes I’ve ever had. The “meat” was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and the sauce was so tasty. Had it as part of their Nijiya Course, worth it to try most of the dishes on the menu. To conclude the meal I had this dessert, which I think wasn’t really up to the expectations I had, based on the savory dishes. It was anyway good, a chocolate cold dessert, just the chocolate flavour wasn’t very strong. Viva la soja! Basically soybeans in two different versions: homemade #silkentofu and yuba, both of delicate taste, and for this to be paired with the sauces and what was my first experience with real wasabi. No paste with diluted flavour, this was raw grated wasabi and it buuurned 🔥 But in the best way, it was delicious and brought all the flavours together. Hands down the best dinner I had on my trip. I queued for 1h and 15mins to eat here, as they only have 6 seats in this small #veganrestaurant, and honestly I chose it because it was the only option open until late (every place in Japan closes so early at dinner!). I did not know the excitement that would expect me. The six seats are facing the super kind boss lady, in a bar-seating style, so she prepares the dishes and passes them to you over the counter. This was the first thing I ordered and every little bit was bursting with flavour: my favourite being the tiny perfectly cut eggplant you see on the bottom left; it was not all cut through, in fact it was a whole piece, but cut with such precision and regularity to make you awe before even tasting it. Soooooo good.
