

A good lotus paste bao from Kwan Im Vegetarian, which also happened to look lovely, even though I’m usually more enthusiastic about the simpler ones with a round shape and no food colouring. As for the taste, the lotus paste was sweet and quite flagrant. Can’t tell much about the texture because I brought this back home and ate it the next day so it wasn’t optimal - yet I have to recognize it was still rather soft and chewy in spite of the long 14 hours on the plane in a simple lunchbox, so I guess it must be a hit when eaten right away 🤗 It costs $1.
