This salad was really good, I particularly liked the dressing but broccoli wasn’t cooked enough for my taste. And it was a bit expensive, 23$ for a salad… quality was there tho

The Liberty wrap is a go-to at Pure Kitchen. They do buffalo cauliflower so well, and it works perfectly in a wrap with pickles, tomato, shredded carrot, green, and ranch. You can also substitute collard greens for the wrap if you prefer (I’ve never tried it so I can’t weigh in on whether it’s good 🤷‍♀️). This is a great option on the go; many locations often have this wrap premade in the to-go fridge or you can have it made to order. It’s of average size so I can usually polish it off with a side Transformed salad for lunch or dinner. #ottawa

This poutine is made with cashew cheeze, hence the melty blob. For this reason, it doesn’t deliver fulfill a very necessary poutine requirement: curds. If you’re looking for a poutine that mimics real curds, I recommend Golden Fries or No Forks Given (I’ve previously reviewed both). That said, while I couldn’t score this highly for presentation or nutrition, it does hit the spot. Their gravy is nice and the fries fit the bill. I would eat again, but with lower expectations than I have for the other poutines I’ve mentioned. #ottawa

This sandwich has tempeh bacon, avocado, lettuce, pickles, sprouts, and garlic aioli in a pillowy ciabatta bun. I ate the whole thing for lunch and it was pretty filling. Could maybe use a little lunch of something extra but for a basic sandwich it hits the spot! #ottawa

This is less of a juice and more of a…melted milkshake…type…thing. It’s more filling than their fruit juices because of the content but, to be honest, the taste was kind of milky and bland. Not my favourite 🤷‍♀️ #ottawa

This is now on my list of top salads 🥗👌 It tastes phenomenal, isn’t overdressed, and is packed with healthy ingredients. It’s got zest, it’s got colour, it’s got protein - it’s perfect IMO! I’ve long been obsessed with the Transformed kale Caesar but I’m glad I gave this a try. #ottawa

This is my favourite bowl at Pure Kitchen. You can have rice or cauliflower rice as the base - usually I can swing two lunches out of this if I go for rice, it’s so filling. It has plenty of black beans and veg, plus the guac and sauce keep it from being dry. The crispy tofu is the perfect topping to tie it all together and add more protein. #ottawa #veganisnotscary

The Transformed kale Caesar salad has been my go-to since PK opened. I was pleasantly surprised that they recently updated the dish to include falafel and roasted broccoli (yay, protein!). Funny enough, PK’s slogan is “always fresh, always evolving” but this is the first major update to their menu I’ve seen in years of patronage. It’s nice to see! This salad always lasts me two meals and especially so now with the added ingredients. The dressing is delicious and thick, coating the kale well. The “parmesan” complements it perfectly. Definitely recommend this new and improved dish! #ottawa
