One cannot dine at Australia’s first 100% vegan Italian restaurant, specialising in mushrooms and truffles, without getting one of their signature truffle & mushroom dishes. This here was one of them 😋 The menu describes them as:
‘…delightful Italian rice balls that provide a twist on a classic dish. Each serving features three fried arancine.’
These were absolutely divine and worth the expensive price I say. Each came sprinkled with finely chopped parsley, with a perfectly crispy battered shell, and amazing truffle-infused mushroom paste piped both below and atop each arancine. You can see the pieces of mushroom inside the perfectly cooked Arborio rice, which was creamy without being gluey. Both interior and exterior textures and flavours was perfectly done. This is a must-try dish if you’re ever in Melbourne!
