I know we’ve progressed as a society when I can order vegan xiao long bao from a traditional chinese restaurant 😮‍💨🥢 But frankly though, I wasn’t a fan of bak kut teh in the xiao long bao — wish they made it in original flavour. But it’s aight, I will come back!!

Another winner! Love love love the many textures and flavours captured in this dish - beautiful, rich, creamy peanut sauce that's umami and delightful paired with the noodles and Impossible Pork. This comes as a small bowl - just less than a single serving - but it's smart because it means you can order more things to complement it 😂

Favourite item on Crystal Jade's new Impossible Pork menu that's now been rolled out to all the Jiangnan and Xiao Long Bao branches in Singapore. The "pork" is beautifully seasoned and sauteed - it's wonderful to have another meat replacement protein that actually tries to emulate pork and not beef - and I love the Romaine lettuce wrap concept. Highly recommended!
