This is a haven for vegans. We chose the sharing option, 3 dishes with either rice, pitta bread or #sourdoughinjera It had to be injera, that lovely sour taste making the perfect scoop for spicier dishes. Ades is a hot and spicy #redlentil cooked with onion, my favourite. Banyan is #okra slo-cooked with onion paprika and cumin. I could have done with a method of cooking that gave a bit more bite, this has a soupy consistency. Still nourishing though. Hamli is #spinach steamed with garlic. Nectar for me 😋 The woman who runs this restaurant has such a warm, generous quality. She clearly loves her Eritrean food heritage, explaining how traditionally, very little oil is used, but onion is regularly added to draw out flavour. #veganinlondon #eritreanfood #goveganfortheanimals
