Pictured above on the board - perfect combination of texture and flavour. If sharing, they would divide your taco into 2 for you! My fav dish of the night tbh
First time trying fried cactus and it kinda taste like calamari without the seafood taste and less rubbery. The seasoning, DELICIOUS. Wasn't expecting the agave to come thru but it did and its not too sweet, its subtle. But there's only 1 tortilla to hold all the ingredients in the taco which cause it to break easily..
I love that Super Loco has vegan tacos for us plant based folk, so kudos to them for that! The cactus taco was really great, the fried cactus bits are light and crunchy, and give great texture to the dish! The line and avocado cream complement the flavours well! #veganisnotscary #singapore #vegantacos
[read till the end to find out about my challenge] Never would I have thought I’d be eating cactus 🌵 I’m guessing it must be sustainable source of ingredient due to it needing so little water compare to other foods. This was delicious and had an interesting texture and experience. I would say I also preferred this one more to the tofu one! #veganisnotscary Inspired by @waisum’s challenge from last year to post a review once everyday (and the fact that I have a backlog of reviews 😅), I challenge @summerong @katelouisepowell & @xdarrenx to join me to post one review a day for the month of October. Y’all up for the challenge? #day1 #1reviewaday
The cactus kinda has chewiness like octopus! After watching Paris Hilton cook shrimp tacos that my fave Saweetie is infamous for (other being ICY and My Type 🙈❤️) over the weekend, I ordered some Mexican food for my family. Their vegan menu has potential, but other than the allure of their star ingredient cactus, it lacks flavour. It came with a separate small container with the avocado cream and some sort of mayo looking sauce so omit that to make it vegan. I’m always sus 🤷🏻♀️ Plus points for earth friendly (unpictured) packaging tho.
