Portobello mushroom burger

Wanted a nice spot to do some work while noshing on plant-based food! I’ve had Real Food before in other locations and am delighted that they’ve kept the quality here as good as the others! Was feeling like a cheeky fried treat and went for the portobello burger. Mushroom was so juicy, flavourful and coated in a thin crunchy tempura layer. The lightly toasted sesame buns were delightful. Onion rings here are PROPER thick juicy ones! The fried cauliflower was perfectly lightly spiced. Even though everything was fried I didn’t have that heavy post-fried food feels afterwards! A work-friendly space with delicious food, will return here for sure 😊

Wow this is by far the best burger in Real Food! Love the portobello mushroom seasoned with herbs & spice & deep fried with a batter that is super crispy! Could be more spicy. But great job chef! The bun is soft and is stacked with greens and a vegan mayo. Orderes the organic potato salad & fried onion rings. The potato salad is too mushy for my liking as I prefer a hearty potato bite. The fried onion rings are yum. Same crispy batter. Very happy with this burger! It’s a nice restaurant, but individual dishes do not surprise with any flavours or originality. Nevertheless, worth a try.

Out of the burgers I would say this was the second best for me. However, depends on what u like for ur patty. Service is excellent. The mashed potatoes side was basically just that mashed potatoes
