Fried Wanton

This was my first time in a Singapore vegan setting. The crispy wanton with the chilli padi is to die for ❤️

$5 for 8 or 12 for (I din ask).. housing the same, less than a tiny dollop of fishcake-like stuffing sitting on a slice of #lettuce (as decorative piece and to mop up the grease). Some vegan mayo would have worked wonders on an otherwise mundane fry. I say, go for the soupy version #crunchy #alliumfree #wanton #deepfried

Deep fried tiny wanton, super crispy yet soft. Too less stuff inside as it was too small anyway. Good side, could go well with any of their mains like noodles or curry rice etc.

I was really looking forward to this. However, I find the fried wantons to be pretty normal (maybe my expectations were too set too high). I wish there could be more filling inside, and perhaps a vegan mayo dip as well to pair it with. But overall, it's still a pretty decent side dish that's fried well and crispy.
