This has a dense texture and well-flavored. It is not that salty as compared to

other vegan luncheon meats. Affordable at less than 3SGD for a small size. #veganisnotscary

Not too bad

But I think it’s best not to eat these processed food

Doesn’t feel

good after eating them

Potentially triggering images 😂 #shittyveganfoodporn presented by me using #AyamBrand’s vegan luncheon meat. Growing up,

I’ve eaten a lot of luncheon meat in soup pasta, fried with egg, in rice congee etc. so it is a pretty nostalgic experience trying #luncheonmeat from a can again (specifying ‘can’ because omnimeat does frozen already sliced luncheon meat). I made Annie’s Vegan Mac & Cheese to go with the random cuts of meat. Random cuts because I was struggling to get it out of the can intact, it was snuggly enough to form a vacuum with the can. 🙃

Taste wise, it alright, I guess it’s supposed to taste very much like the original, but I haven’t had meat in ages, so I can’t tell.

After my mildly unpleasant experience with the spicy #luncheon , I was excited to see

the original in a Kuching supermarket 🤩 It was like destiny…

Just like its predecessor, the texture is just perfect. My boss was comically panicked for a second when she saw me eating it out of my packed lunch 😂 It’s also #omnivoreapproved 😉 However, it is a sweeter kind than I’m used to. Ideally, I would’ve loved it saltier. I first wanted to eat more directly for taste via open faced sandwich. Hence, my flavour assessment. I was happier with it buried in my fried curry noodles. Though, on a lazy day I just had it with some salt within my rice meal.

This exceptional #mockmeat comes at almost RM 11 in this relatively large cylinder 👌

If you’re looking for a sweeter meat, this would be it 👍

Delivered to my door by a travelling friend… I didn’t think I’d have a chance

to try a product like this so soon in my #vegan career 😎

I do so love a versatile side of protein. I had it with my Kolok Mee. It’s classic with any rice accompaniments. Much to my surprise, I enjoyed it most with toast (pay no attention to the unrelated PB&J in the background of the photo). The texture was pretty darn to close to real meat and could easily fool an omnivore. Taste-wise was interestingly umami but was interrupted by the presence of chilli flavour 🙃 I’ve never had spicy luncheon of any kind before. Now, I can conclusively say I might’ve been better off without it. Perhaps, I would’ve taken it better if it were a peppery experience instead of a chilli one, which I am not a fan of 🥲 The only thing I can’t explain is why the #spicy sensation sometimes felt less, at times. Keeping it leftover let some chilli oil seep out, perhaps? 🤔 It’s a growing heat build though, with each bite 😜

Sorry I don’t have this price tag. Just gifted, y’a know 🥁

I’d recommend this to just about everyone except people with an aversion to chilli peppers 🔥 It’s a great one for the pantry collection 👍 #spicyvegan

P.S. Found out this was RM 10.90 🤭
