I like to tell myself that I have an oven in the kitchen and that I can get ready-to-bake meals. Wrong 😣 I have a toaster oven because I'm a #lazyvegan, and that happens to be the scene of many a complacency-fuelled disaster 😧 You can't see it, but the base of this #pie / #pastry thing was completely charred through because I wasn't paying attention to it 😅 A real shame, because this could have been absolutely amazing. I love #mushroom, I love nuts (this has #hazelnut, #almond, #peanut, and #walnut), and I love flaky/crispy things. This was going to be so beautiful 🥺 #veganisnotscary, unless I'm the one preparing your food 😬

Lovely taste, decent size (plenty for 2 big portions) - only issue is it takes 55 to 60 minutes to cook in the oven. Good excuse to oven bake some jacket potatoes - highly recommended.
This was super tasty. Very mushroomy and nutty, crisp pastry. Good portion for 2 people. Pretty darm good. But also pretty pricey...
I really wanted to try a Wellington before Xmas comes along. This one was in Waitrose (England) in the vegan freezer section. It is small - serves 2 people according to packet but as part of a roast we stretched it to 4 (one slice each). It is beautifully presented and tastes great, and it holds it's shape. Non vegans loved it too. #veganisnotscary
