We're solidly into summer so I've been enjoying so many tomato/basil combinations. I kept this pesto at work for a while to make sandwiches with Whole Foods Market croissants, Treeline Cheese, and Tofurky deli slices for lunch. After the other ingredients ran out at work I took this home to throw into pasta quickly or top bagels. It was really great with Violife cream cheese, fresh tomatoes, salt, pepper, and Stillwater Olive Oil Co. aged balsamic for breakfast. This pesto packs so much flavor and is super fresh. It has a beautiful dark green color that signals all that delicious basil flavor. I always want to make my own pesto, but I never feel like I have enough basil! This is by far the best pre-made vegan pesto I’ve tried. I will definitely be buying more, though as always, I wish it were in glass. I had it in pasta, but will also use it as condiment on a sandwich and in a tofu scramble. Yum!

Picked up this pre made Vegan pesto at Whole Foods. It is already made, so you only need to add it to your pasta, rice, or wrap. It tastes and has the consistency of traditional pesto. My omnivore husband also really enjoyed it. This product is local to Chicago , made from the world’s largest rooftop greenhouse.
