I really liked these Korean rice cakes in sauce a lot! The rice cakes have
an awesome chewy texture like mochi and the sauce is a nice balance of sweet and spicy. Even though it’s frozen, there are a couple of steps to prepare. I did the extra crispy preparation where you pan fry the rice cakes before submerging in the sauce. I will definitely buy this again!

I’ve only had tteokbokki that I prepared myself before, using a recipe I found online.
I don’t have any gochugaru at this house and was craving tteokbokki so I decided to give this one a try.
The tteok was great; chewy and satisfying! The sauce was sweet and spicy…spicier than I expected! I thought I was pretty good with heat but this had me doubting it a bit hahahahaha.
Convenient and tasty.

So the rice cakes look like packing peanuts. They were very bland on their own
as expected for a rice cake, husband said they tasted like packing peanuts. The sauce was very unique being spicy and slightly sweet. The heat builds up with each bite. I didn’t really like it overall.
