I've really grown to love pepitas. This salsa ended up being one of my favorites! The pepitas provide a nice earthier flavor. It also almost has a meaty texture. There is a perfect spice level for this. The slight burn is very pleasant, but you can eat a lot of it. This is so great with tortilla chips, but I also really loved it on a breakfast burrito! @jonok made tofu scramble with bell peppers. Trader Joe's is not afraid of spice🌶️. When one of their products is labeled spicy it has some heat to it for sure!🔥 This pepita salsa is no exception, although to be fair my tolerance to spicy foods is moderate.🥵 But this salsa isn't just hot, it also has great flavor from the tomatoes, onions, peppers, roasted papitas, onions, garlic, cilantro, chipotle and lime juice. This salsa is great with chips, but I also like to use it in tacos and burritos for a little heat and extra flavor. I have to get this every single year. Its kinda spicy, but not too hot, definitely all of the fall flavors in it. The best way to have this is with sweet potato black bean quesadillas. #veganin2021
This salsa is not like any other salsa I’ve ever tried , it’s delicious. You will love this as a dip or on a taco. It has a little kick but not overpowering.
