This Crunchy Chili Onion sauce is the bomb dot com. The name is a super accurate description of what you are getting for taste and mouth feel. I love spice but due to some gastrointestinal issues I’ve cut back to almost zero spice lately but the heat on this is mild-medium from the crushed red pepper flakes. I prefer this chilled over room temperature because it is oil-based and I find it stays on better when it is cold, but both ways are delicious. So we don’t shop at Trader Joe’s since it’s one of the farther stores from us but neither of us had ever been so we gave it a try. Unfortunately our closest store is on our LEAST favorite street and typical of restaurants/stores in the area parking was atrocious. Inside was also utter chaos as it was busy evening time so after work shoppers were out in droves. I knew going in I was looking for this sauce as I’d tried it at a friends house a couple years ago (we had it on homemade air frier pizzas which I HIGHLY recommend) and it was located on top of a freezer section. There was only three jars and I snatched one so fast my partner didn’t even see me put it in the buggy! Since bringing it home we’ve had it twice on pizza (if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!) but honestly I wholeheartedly believe this would be good on almost anything. I’m very much looking forward to trying this on a burger since I know Santa is bringing my Carnivore Partner a grill for Christmas and I’ve already bought Beyond Burgers for him to grill up! Speaking of my Carnivore Partner he isn’t the huge sauce lover I am, nor does he particularly enjoy spice (I like to joke that he can’t even handle black pepper 😂) but he did say this sauce was tasty and not too spicy. He had no idea it was vegan and I always love to sneak as many “hidden” vegan items as I can so I’ll take it as a win. Overall I will 100% purchase this again, despite the fact that we will have to brave the Wild Wild West of the Trader Joe’s parking lot it’s more than worth it (even if this is the only thing we buy) and I think experimenting with it on different foods is going to be a fun culinary adventure! #carnivorepartner #sauce #traderjoes #spicy #mouthfeel #veganisnotscary

My cousin asked me to pick this up for her when I visited California, since we don’t have Trader Joe’s in Hawaii. I grabbed some for myself too. I can see why she likes this. It’s really good with Asian dishes like rice and noodles.

This is a fantastic condiment for just about anything you can imagine. It's made with good ingredients, like olive oil, onions, garlic, chili peppers, salt and paprika. I can handle a medium level of spice, and this has a nice kick for me.
